James Jackson is an experienced criminal defence lawyer with 17 years of trial and appellate experience in criminal law. James has extensive experience as trial counsel in serious cases including high level drug trafficking, historical sexual offending, organized crime and serious assaults.

James began his career working as a prosecutor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for Western Australia, where he appeared on numerous difficult jury trials in the District and Supreme Courts.

James then moved to private practice and commenced work at a highly regarded criminal defence firm. Whilst there, he was trained by one of Perth’s leading criminal lawyers. He quickly proved himself a skilled defence lawyer. Amongst other fantastic outcomes including a number of acquittals, James obtained a rare ‘no case to answer’ decision on a District Court drugs trial.

Now running his own firm, James uses the knowledge he gained in his former roles to dismantle prosecution cases and secure acquittals for his clients.
